The gusset plate ties the brace into the front bulkhead as it should be from the factory. The Factory style shock mounting is single shear, meaning most of the shock pressure is being put one side of the mounting bolt. Our gusset plate makes the mount into a double shear design, creating strength and added frame support to the front end of your Can-Am X3.
