Thunderhawk's patent-pending design utilizes aircraft-grade aluminum and multiple frame mounting points for strength and lightweight construction. The guards are isolated from the brake system to avoid damage, providing full-coverage protection and closing gaps left open by other guards.
The military testing involved a modified RZR traveling on railroad tracks at high speeds, facing sharpened hardwood dowels at different angles. The guards are designed to protect against trail debris, such as sticks, which can break through the plastic floor of the RZR during off-road rides. Precision CNC manufactured in the USA, the kit includes all necessary hardware and instructions, fitting with stock and most aftermarket skid plates. The guards are available in bare aluminum or with an optional black powder coat finish. Installation is straightforward, taking about an hour with stock skid plates.
