The vented version on the Maverick X3 poly-carbonate rear panel allows airflow when desired, through a vent in the windshield. Pair the vented rear windshield with a vented front windshield and enjoy continuous airflow through the cab of the X3.
Dust tends to fill the cage of an X3 with a windshield installed, because there is a difference in air pressure between the front of the windshield and behind it, this causes air to rush behind the windshield and into the cab bringing all dust from the trail with it. There are two ways to remedy this, keep the air flowing continuously over the X3 without allowing it to come back in or allowing consistent airflow through the cab. The Spike Vented Rear Windshield allows you to do either, you can keep the air flowing over (shut position) or you can allow air to pass through the (open position).
