Thunderhawk Performance addresses the vulnerability of the 2015 & newer RZR 900, RZR-S 1000, RZR Trail 1000, RZR XP 1000, and RZR XP Turbo models to weak bumper mounts with its new RZR bumper brace. Polaris initially improved bumper strength in 2011 with the XP900 and 2014 with the XP1000, but reverted to a weaker stamped steel part in 2015, affecting various models.
The Thunderhawk bumper brace is a bolt-on solution designed to reinforce the factory stamped steel bumper mount by triangulating and gusseting it, preventing easy bending. This brace ensures a robust mount directly to the frame, allowing for the installation of any front bumper to the factory mounting location.
Not only does the bumper brace guard against potential bending from front impacts, but it also resists bending when a tow strap or winch is attached to the bumper in situations where lower frame tow points are inaccessible. The bolt-on kit requires no cutting, drilling, or welding for installation, taking approximately 20-30 minutes with common hand tools. Its durable zinc-plated finish protects against corrosion in challenging under-chassis conditions. The product is made in the USA.
