UPI Yamaha Viking UHMW Skid Plate

The UPI Yamaha Viking UHMW skid plate uses the best skid plate material to protect the underside of the Yamaha Viking. UHMW has been lauded for its for its strength to weight ratio and for its low friction qualities. Picture this, an aluminum skid plate lands on top of a rock, it will likely dent or puncture as a result of all the force of the vehicle being concentrated on that spot. UHMW however, with its "slippery" surface would glide off that obstacle resulting in the force being spread out over a larger surface area, thus resulting in no damage to the skid plate.
